Advocacy and caring for others are at the center of my core values. Even as a child my mother brought me with her to work and I would spend my time with the dementia patients doing activities. Throughout my career I made it a goal to ensure that I worked with different populations in different environments and settings. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I worked with the Department of juvenile justice, from there I transitioned into the child welfare system. While working on my master’s degree, I completed an internship with the veteran’s administration along with working as a case manager with adults who suffered from mental illness and substance abuse. After receiving my master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University, I began working in nursing homes as a director of social services. As a FHL care manager I am able to apply my education and years of experience to a roll that allows me to advocate, care and support my clients.
