A CARE MANAGER
According to the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA), a Care Manager is a health and human services specialist who assists families who are caring for older relatives. Membership in ALCA as a Certified Care Manager is open only to qualified individuals with specialized degrees and experience in human services, including social work, psychology, gerontology or nursing, and who hold one of four ALCA-approved certifications.

Declining health of loved one (weight loss, depression, etc.)
Home maintenance- accumulation of trash or dust - Spoiled or inadequate food in the refrigerator
Stacks of unpaid bills - cannot understand insurance and medical bills
Refuses to go to the doctors or has missed scheduled appointments, frequent ER visits or hospitalizations
Suspicion that loved one lacks ability for medication compliance
Poor hygiene of loved one- showers less frequently, wears unwashed clothes, or neglects their teeth
Driving safety- any new visible dents/scrapes on vehicle
Excessive spending- purchasing unnecessary items or donating to all charity requests
